How is the market now?

It's a new year! I know, I know, it's hard to believe that another year has just flown by. I think we can say that it's a new year full of opportunities.

For this reason, the new year can bring a new opportunity to sell the house that you are living in and move to another place, another neighborhood, or to a condo to avoid the hassle of mowing the lawn. Or it's time to invest by buying a house and then renting it out to park your money in something that will bring returns. Or maybe you just want to buy your first house, finally becoming an owner after so many years of paying rent (and maybe the mortgage for your landlord!)

I am writing this because since the year started, this is the question that I hear the most: "Alina, how is the market now?" And I stumbled upon these two articles.

and

If you read the first one, you'll see that the economy added new jobs,  which is a positive sign for the real estate market. Job growth often correlates with increased housing demand as people relocate for employment opportunities. Additionally, a decline in interest rates (the second article) can make borrowing more attractive and stimulate home buying. (if you are active in the stock market, you might have noticed the market being on an uphill trend).... So, answering the above question about the market is not easy. I will say, "it depends." It depends on your goals, how long you plan to live in that house, whether you want to rightsize, and if you want to move closer to the coast or inland.

But, read the articles, think about what you want to achieve, and let's talk about this to see what works best for you.
